Robert Bird on Stalker – Toronto International Film Festival
University of Chicago scholar Robert Bird, author of Andrei Tarkovsky: Elements of Cinema, offers an introductory talk on the aesthetics of Tarkovsky’s work and his influence on Soviet cinema at our first screening of Tarkovsky’s Stalker.
