Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Toronto on Sunday morning due to rain and wind in the forecast.
According to the statement, rain is expected to develop across the GTA this evening and continue through the holiday Monday before tapering off Monday night.
“Total rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 mm are expected with the potential for 50 mm over portions of the western GTA,” says Environment Canada.

The statement also says that cool easterly winds will keep temperatures near 10 or 11 degrees Monday, which is well below the seasonal normal high of 20 degrees.
