Environment Canada issues special weather statement for Toronto

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Toronto on Tuesday morning due to strong wind gusts in the forecast.

According to the statement, strong Northwesterly winds are expected today.

“Strong Northwesterly winds will develop today. Wind gusts up to 70 to 80 km/h are possible. Wind will weaken tonight,” says Environment Canada.

The statement also warns that occasional power outages may occur.

Special weather statement aside, the temperature in Toronto is expected to reach a high of 3°C for the day, and will dip to -3°C  with a chance of flurries.

Wednesday will bring some sunny skies and a high of 6°C and that will be the high on Thursday as well, although it will be cloudy.

So far, Saturday is expected to be 11°C, with sunshine.

For now, stay indoors and stay safe… especially with today’s expected winds.
