Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the City of Toronto on Monday afternoon.
In its statement, the weather specialists say that local heavy showers or thunderstorms over the northern portions of Toronto are expected this afternoon.
According to Environment Canada, isolated showers and thunderstorms are forming along a stationary boundary, and local rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are possible over the northern portions of the City of Toronto.
These showers may persist into early this evening due to slow-moving storms.
Today’s high is 27°C, but it will feel more like 30°C with the humidex.
So bring that umbrella tonight, just in case.
