Emirates offering jobs with free accommodation in Toronto this weekend
If you’re looking to land a new job, lower your living costs and embark on a new adventure, an international airline currently in the midst of a hiring spree across Canada may just be your dream employer.
Securing any sort of gig in Toronto is especially competitive right now, with the entire province’s unemployment having climbed to a worrying high and slated to rise still — all while residents are feeling the crunch of exorbitant (and rising) prices for nearly everything.
With this in mind, the unique work perks offered by Emirates, which is regularly rated as one of the world’s top carriers, may be of particular interest to local candidates interested in taking their career to the skies.
On top of the discounted travel, health insurance and other benefits that the standard airline extends to its staff, Emirates offers a tax-free salary by virtue of the brand being based in the UAE, an income-tax-free nation.
Additionally, the airline sets up all cabin crew members with free accommodation, so rent no longer has to be a concern, but you have to move to its home base of Dubai to take advantage.
If that’s not a dealbreaker, and if you meet the airline’s criteria (which includes being void of any visible tattoos), you can head to Emirates’ forthcoming job fairs at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown on May 9 and the Novotel Toronto Centre on May 11, both starting at 9 a.m. local time.
The events are just the latest in a series of near-monthly open calls for new crew members that the company has held in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary so far this year.
