Video shows ex-Toronto Raptors star DeRozan get into a fight at a sushi restaurant
It sounds like a fan got a little too close for comfort with DeMar DeRozan.
The Compton-born NBA star was reportedly involved in a physical altercation at a sushi restaurant in Calabasas, California — a suburb of Los Angeles.
Video shows DeRozan get into a physical altercation with another man, with a woman yelling “let him go,” before they were separated.
TMZ is reporting that the fight started after the unidentified man “shoved a phone with a bright light” in DeRozan’s face. DeRozan allegedly responded by knocking the phone out of the man’s hand.

It’s been nearly seven years since the Raptors shocked everyone and traded DeRozan to the San Antonio Spurs in a deal that saw Kawhi Leonard come to Toronto. DeRozan played three seasons with the Spurs before moving on and finding success with in three seasons with the Chicago Bulls.
Now 35 and in the twilight of his NBA career, DeRozan played last season with the Sacramento Kings. The Kings were eliminated last week after losing a play-in game to the Dallas Mavericks.
