Cheap lunch alert: Where to get a $5 bowl of chowder for charity today

Matt Dean Pettit is serving up soup for a good cause today.
The founder of Rock Lobster and Matty’s Seafood has partnered with Second Harvest and the MLSE Foundation to ladle out $5 bowls of seafood chowder today for eat-in or quick take-out at the Lodge on Queen.
Each bowl purchased will not only warm your own tummy on this chilly day, but also equates to a bowl of soup donated to the Toronto food rescue program while proceeds will be used to support the MLSE LaunchPad, a 42,000 square foot facility benefiting youth and launching at 261 Jarvis Street in 2017.
