25-year-old man facing over 40 charges in child pornography investigation

A 25-year-old Toronto man is facing over 40 child pornography related charges following an investigation that began last month.

According to Toronto Police, on Friday, May 24, members of the Service’s Sex Crimes – Child Exploitation Section executed a search warrant in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue area.

At that time, police say Sergio Bahamonde was arrested and charged with nine Child Pornography related offences.

And as a result of the continued investigation, on Wednesday, July 24, Bahamonde was arrested again and now faces additional charges which include: Assault, Threatening Death, 3 counts of Criminal Harassment, Extortion, Make Child Pornography, Distribute Child Pornography, Make Available Intimate Images Without Consent, Distribute Intimate Images Without Consent, Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child, Luring a Child Under 18, 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance, and 26 counts of Voyeurism.

Police are concerned there may be more victims.
