Everybody loves a celebrity sighting!
The hustle and bustle, your heart starts racing, fans are screaming their name — all while trying to sneak a quick pic, or if you’re lucky enough maybe even an autograph. With plenty of movies and TV shows currently filming in Toronto right now, you just never know when you might spot your favourite actor or actress off-set, roaming the streets of our city.
Here are 13 celebrity faces to try and spot in Toronto this month.
Gina Rodriguez may be spotted in the city this September. Rodriguez will be in Toronto from August to September for her latest role in the feature film Awake. You probably remember her best as Jane on the hit CW show Jane the Virgin.
Ellen Page will be in the Toronto area this month for her role in the series The Umbrella Academy. Page is a Canadian actress that has starred in feature films like Juno, Whip It, and Inception, along with TV shows like Trailer Park Boys, Pit Pony, and ReGenesis.
Joining Page on The Umbrella Academy set is Tom Hopper. Hopper has made appearances in television shows like Doctor Who, Black Sails, and Games of Thrones.
Josh Duhamel may be spotted in the city this month. Duhamel is in town filming for his latest role in Netflix’s Jupiter’s Legacy. He is often recognized for being in four of the Transformers films, along with New Year’s Eve, Life As We Know It, and Safe Haven. And who could forget of course when he was married to singer Fergie.
Joining Duhamel on the set of Jupiter’s Legacy is actor Matt Lanter. You may remember him from The CW’s 90210, NBC’s Timeless and movies like The Roommate, or Pitch Perfect 3.
Minka Kelly will be in Toronto this month for her role in the second season of the series Titans. Kelly got her first major role as Lyla on the hit television series Friday Night Lights, and then went on to star in feature films like The Roommate, 500 days of Summer, and Just Go With It.
Jason Priestley may be seen in Toronto filming for season four of the series Private Eyes. Priestley is best known for playing Brandon Walsh on the hit show Beverly Hills, 90210 — which recently filmed a reboot in Vancouver.
Catherine Bell will be in Toronto this month filming for season six of Good Witch. Bell is known for playing Major Sarah MacKenzie in the TV series JAG, and as Denise Sherwood in the American drama series Army Wives.
Joining Bell on the set of Good Witch is Bailee Madison. You may remember her from movies like Brothers, Parental Guidance, or as Adam Sandler’s fake daughter in Just Go With It.
Best known for his portrayal of Nate Archibald on The CW’s Gossip Girl series, Chace Crawford may be spotted in Toronto this September for his latest role in the superhero drama series The Boys which is filming for its second season.
Also joining Crawford on the set of The Boys is New Zealand actor Karl Urban. You may remember him as Leonard McCoy in the Star Trek reboot film series, or as Éomer from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Brendan Fraser will be in town this month filming for the second season of Condor. Fraser is typically recognized for his early roles in movies like The Mummy trilogy, and George of the Jungle, along with most recently starring in TV series like Trust and DC Universe’s Doom Patrol.
Sonequa Martin-Green will be in Toronto filming for the third season of Star Trek: Discovery, also going by its code name of Green Harvest. Martin-Green is best known for her portrayal of Sasha Williams on AMC’s The Walking Dead, along with reoccurring roles in The Good Wife and Once Upon a Time.
