Casa Loma is turning into a massive (and creepy) haunted house for Halloween

Toronto’s historic castle is getting ready for the spooky season, and it is hosting Legends of Horror at Casa Loma.

A one-hour, 2-kilometre, self-guided tour through every hallway and corner of the castle, tunnels and dark spaces never shown to the public, the haunted castle is the best way to get some fun out of Halloween this year.

From October 2 to Halloween night, the Legends of Horror will be back to scaring guests as they dare to enter the castle grounds for a night they’ll never forget.

“The crescendo of the experience is a dramatic 3D imagery projection on the exterior of the castle, designed to excite even the most skeptical of guests this Halloween season,” said Casa Loma’s website.

Things are going to be a little more different this year, though.

During these unprecedented times, new safety protocols will be put in place to ensure physical distancing is being followed, as well as adjusted timing and capacity.

Face masks and contact tracing will be required. Information will only be kept for 30 days.

“Legends of Horror tickets valid ONLY for the date and time indicated on the ticket. We are limiting hourly attendance to control Guest flow and create a better and safer experience for all.”

Please note that while Casa Loma continues to adhere to health and safety guidelines to keep you safe, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By being in public spaces like Casa Loma, you voluntarily assume the risks related to exposure.”

As for family hours, they will run from 5 pm to 7 pm every day while it’s still light out so that the kids won’t get too scared.
