Must-see Canadian speakers at this year's Collision from Home

Collison from Home, a tech conference with over 400 speakers, starts tomorrow.

The conference will be virtual but still plans to have over 100 hours of premium content as it brings together tech influencers and global industry leaders.

The team behind the creation of Web Summit created the event, which is now in its seventh year. It will connect CEOs from some of the world’s largest companies, founders of growing startups, leading investors, and media representatives from more than 120 countries.

Collision has been deemed the fastest growing tech conference in North America. It will run from June 23 to 25.

Justin Trudeau — Prime Minister of Canada

Among being the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau is also a teacher, father, feminist, and advocate. He was elected as the Liberal Member of Parliament for the Montréal riding of Papineau. On November 4, 2015, Trudeau was sworn in as Prime Minister of Canada.

Margaret Atwood — author

Margaret Atwood is an author of more than 50 books. She has written fiction, poetry, critical essays, and graphic novels. Her latest book is a sequel to her award-winning novel and television series, The Handmaid’s Tale. The novel titled The Testament, is also a co-winner of the 2019 Booker Prize.

John Tory — Mayor of Toronto

Navdeep Bains – Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development

Navdeep Bains is the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development for the Government of Canada. He is the Member of Parliament for Mississauga–Malton. He has led the Innovation and Skills Plan. This plan has built on Canadian strengths and has also created more opportunities and fostered economic growth.

Malgosia Green – CEO of Plenty of Fish

Malgosia Green is the CEO of the dating site, Plenty of Fish. She also served as the chief product officer at Top Hat, prior to her current role. At Top Hat, she “headed up” product and engineering. She also helped to scale the company up to more than 300 people.

Camille Dundas — Co-founder and editor-in-chief at ByBlacks.com

Collision Conference

Camille Dundas is the co-founder and editor-in-chief at ByBlacks.com, one of Canada’s biggest online magazines. She joined the tech industry, three years ago, as a consultant for Hootsuite. Dundas is also a renowned keynote speaker on equity and inclusion.
