Korea's Cafe Bora to open its first Canadian location in Toronto
Toronto is about gain yet another popular international chain of dessert houses. Cafe Bora from Korea is opening its first Canadian location in Toronto in September.
According to a press release, the dessert chain is named for the Korean word for purple which is considered a royal colour and “icon of healthiness.”
The restaurant specializes in purple sweet potato items including violet-hued ice cream, bingsu, tiramisu, jjinbang (steamed bread), and dried purple sweet potato chips. And while the menu will still satisfy your sweet tooth, you’ll find healthy and natural sweet ingredients like purple sweet potatoes, quinoa, and lentils baked into these treats.
Aside from the predominately purple offerings, look forward to matcha-flavoured favourites like red bean bingsu and matcha tiramisu on the menu too.
