Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman has certainly had his share of ups and downs during his four years in the city.
Since signing a five-year deal with the Blue Jays prior to the 2021 season, Gausman has developed into a fan favourite, while finishing top 10 in American League Cy Young votes on two occasions already.
But on Monday, after returning home from a six-game road trip in Los Angeles and Colorado, Gausman shared a bit of frustration with the city’s parking scene.
So apparently there is no such thing as free parking in Toronto 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

“So apparently there is no such thing as free parking in Toronto,” Gausman tweeted, with a series of two facepalm emojis.
It seems there are a few possibilities here: perhaps Gausman left his car somewhere for a few days while on the road and either got a hefty ticket or it was towed, or he simply had a long struggle finding a spot for a decent price.
Given that Gausman usually would be parking either at the Rogers Centre players’ lot or home for most of his time in Toronto, it sort of makes sense that he wouldn’t have a ton of experience finding a place for his car.
But for anyone who’s spent enough time navigating Toronto in a car, they know that it’s not always easy — or cheap — to find a place to put your car.
This isn’t the first hilarious tweet from Gausman, as a few months ago, he was looking for a flamethrower on X.
But he’s also been wholesome about his time in Toronto, too.
“I hate seeing people talk sh*t about Toronto like they know it. If you live in Toronto, you know how special of a place it is and how passionate the people are,” Gausman wrote on X back in 2023.
Based on how his last few tweets have gone, we can only expect Gausman to explore Toronto Island sometime soon and realize that he missed the last ferry home.
