It has already shattered a Major League Baseball record, and it’s still growing.

Tonight’s Toronto Blue Jays 50/50 jackpot has surpassed $800,000, blowing away the previous MLB record of $538,897. The “50/50 from home” raffle will be held virtually of course, with a winner chosen after tonight’s Blue Jays game — the first held at their new home in Buffalo.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase for those age 18 or older in Ontario. All funds raised will support families in Ontario who have beenĀ disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, through the Jays Care Foundation.

You can secure your own 50/50 raffle ticket by going to jayscare5050.com.

ā€œFor many years, participating in Jays Careā€™s 50/50 raffles has been an exciting part of the ballpark experience for Blue Jays fans,ā€ said Robert Witchel, executive director of the Jays Care Foundation. ā€œWeā€™re excited to continue this tradition for the 2020 season and provide Blue Jays fans the chance to win big while raising funds to support families who have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19.ā€

The Blue Jays and Miami Marlins begin a two-game series today, with first pitch at 6:37 pm. The game will be held at Sahlen Field in Buffalo, the home of the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate, after the minor league stadium was given a major league upgrade.
