If you live in North York, Blackpink really was in your area this week, as the group visited a Toronto restaurant after a recent concert.
Whether you managed to secure tickets to one of K-pop mega group Blackpink’s two Toronto concerts at Rogers Stadium this week or not, you may have still gotten the chance to see the idols with your own two eyes, it seems.
K-pop idols may be the most elusive genre of celebrity these days, mostly thanks to the unparalleled enthusiasm of their fanbases, but they need to eat just like any other human, and, in the case of Blackpink members Lisa and Rosé, they chose a North York institution for their apres-concert eats.
Following the group’s final Toronto concert on Wednesday, July 23, the two idols stopped by 24-hour Korean barbecue restaurant Huh Ga Ne on Finch Avenue, a longstanding cornerstone of Koreatown North.
Though Toronto has no shortage of Korean barbecue restaurants — and a large majority of them more than satisfy the craving — we can’t think of anywhere better for the pop music legends to visit after their concert.
Sure, it’s one of the last places in Toronto you’d expect to run into a celebrity, but that makes it all the more thrilling when you do.

A video posted by Toronto Diary, a Chinese Toronto lifestyle publication, on Instagram shows the two stars, shielded by their posse, exiting the restaurant on Wednesday night, with the caption “When you met Blackpink Lisa & Rose in Huh Ga Ne in Toronto.”
At the time of publication, Huh Ga Ne has not responded to Dished Toronto’s requests for comment on what the experience was like or what the stars ordered, but plenty of fans were quick to flock to the comments of the video to voice their approval on Lisa and Rosé’s restaurant choice.
“I love that restaurant!” One person comments.
“Lol good taste,” writes another.

Not everyone, it seems, was quite as enthusiastic about the Blackpink members’ decision to dine at Huh Ga Ne, though.
“Damn, you might as well just take them to A&W,” one person writes.
At the end of the day, restaurant preferences are just like K-pop biases: everyone’s entitled to their own.
