Backstreet Boys’ Toronto concert sold out in under an hour

Backstreet’s back alright, and apparently people want it that way.

The boys, Nick, AJ, Brian, Kevin and Howie, are hitting the road as part of their long-awaited world tour which includes a stop at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on July 17.

The major world tour will be promoting their 10th studio album, DNA, which is slated for a January 25 release.

But it ain’t nothing but a heartache for fans who didn’t act fast enough today, as tickets to the show were sold out less than an hour after they went on sale.

Of course, now they’ve been spotted on resale sites such as StubHub, where ticket prices are starting at $157 USD… which with the exchange is close to $200 CAD. And that is a fraction of what Ticketmaster’s resale is charging.

On Ticketmaster, resale tickets start at $379 CAD. Yikes.

The DNA world tour, BSB’s largest in 18 years, will feature a live band as opposed to dancers and will run for two hours. You’ll get to hear all the classic hits from the band, who formed in 1993, songs from the new record and surely some surprises as well.

Other Canadian stops include Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton.

The tour kicks off on May 11 in Lisbon, Portugal.
