You can now order from Toronto's hottest new burger joint

Attention, burger lovers! The city’s newest joint serving hot handhelds is officially open, and you can order for takeout and delivery.

Aunty Lucy’s has moved into the space at 1346 Queen Street West, where Vegandale Brewery used to reside.

If the goods look familiar, that’s because they are. Aunty Lucy’s popped up on Ossington Avenue last year, for a one-day event where attendees could munch on burgers akin to those offered at In N Out.

Now, Torontonians wanting to get the goods aren’t limited to attending a four-day affair, but still, you don’t want to sleep on these burgs. Since opening this week, the restaurant has sold out early every day.

You can order your grub ahead by visiting the restaurant’s online shop before you swing by for takeout, or you can place a delivery order through Uber Eats or Door Dash.

Operating Wednesday to Sunday from 3 pm to 11 pm (or while supplies last), the spot’s menu includes a few different burgers. Here are your options for those:

  • The Kumasi Burger: beef patty; American cheese; onions; lettuce; tomato; and Lucy’s Sauce
  • The Accra Burger: two beef patties; two slices of American cheese; onions; lettuce; tomato; Lucy’s Sauce
  • Beyond Burger: Beyond patty; American cheese; onions; lettuce; tomato; Lucy’s Sauce

And in addition to burgs, the place serves up a wicked-looking grilled cheese, fried chicken bites, fries, and the option of ordering in combos to save a few bucks.

As the weekend approaches and you consider which local joint you’re going to support with takeout in lieu of your typical Saturday-night escapades, consider paying Aunty Lucy’s place a visit.

She’d love to see you.
