Exhibition Place is hosting a massive drive-thru dinosaur experience

After what felt like an endless winter, spring is finally underway in Toronto, and we’re looking for new adventures to discover beyond our backyards.

If you’ve grown tired of walking the same old hiking trails or re-watching episodes of your favourite show, why not change things up? There’s a fully contactless and socially distanced experience coming to Exhibition Place that’s sure to make you feel like you’re in a scene from an iconic movie.

From Friday, April 2 to Sunday, April 18, take yourself back to prehistoric times at the Dinos and Friends drive-thru extravaganza. Pull up to 125 Princes’ Boulevard and prepare to be dazzled by a herd of animatronic dinosaurs displayed in realistic scenes.

You’ll hear the convincing dinos roar and see them mark their territory — moving ever so gracefully for giant creatures — all while you stay inside the safety of your own vehicle and drive through the tour.

For the ultimate thrill, you’ll be guided by engaging and informative digital audio, which will be transmitted through your car radio. This is yet another feature of the experience that could quickly transport you to a movie scene.

There’s no need to be scared or fooled by the dinos’ exterior, though — these guys are (kind of) as placid as can be. Plus, baby dinosaurs will be there to greet guests and put a smile on the faces of explorers of all ages.

But it’s not all just epic dinosaurs at Dinos and Friends. You’ll also get to see an elaborate display of more than 14 species of birds of prey and several tricks by furry dog friends.

Additionally, there will be some adorable farm animals to warm your heart from afar (think cows, pigs, and goats).

The drive-thru essentially gives you the chance to combine a countryside day at the farm with captivating creatures from millions of years ago. Can you think of a better way to spend a spring evening?

Tickets to the Dinos and Friends drive-thru experience are on sale now, costing $45 per vehicle via dinosandfriends.ca. If you’re feeling a little (or a lot) boujee, you can book a limo once you have your ticket and arrive in style. 

Whatever the weather, Dinos and Friends will be taking place, and tickets are scanned through your closed car window to ensure a contactless experience. Attendees must remain in their cars for the duration of the tour, which has been designed to last for 20 minutes.
