Amber Alert in effect for 14-year-old boy abducted in North York

An Amber Alert remains in effect on Thursday morning as police search for a 14-year-old boy who was abducted from North York.

According to Toronto police, Shammah Jolayemi, 14, was last seen Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 8:25 am. Police say he went missing from 353 Driftwood Avenue in North York.

Jolayemi is described as 5’11” tall, with a slim build, and short dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, grey track pants with an orange stripe, a black coat and black and yellow Air Jordan shoes. He may have been carrying a red and black Adidas backpack.

Police say a vehicle of interest was observed where the boy was last seen in the Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue  The vehicle is possibly a black Jeep Wrangler with oversized front tires and a front push bar with round fog lights.

Police are “extremely concerned for his safety ” and are looking to speak with Jolayemi’s stepbrother Olalekan Osikoya in regards to his disappearance.

If anyone sees Shammah they should immediately call police on 9-1-1.

An Amber Alert was issued just after midnight on Thursday morning, and according to the alert, the abduction was reported by a Toronto Public School.
