Experience the holiday magic at Terminal 1 with warm homecomings

If you’ve ever been to the airport arrivals lounge during the holidays, you know what true happiness looks like.

It’s a place where friends are reunited. A place where families who spend their lives separated by thousands of kilometres are brought together for the holidays. A place where travelers get their first feeling of being back at home, which is unlike any other feeling during this time of year.

And while it’s true that people fly home and are reunited every day, there’s something extra special about reuniting with loved ones during the holiday season.

To help people welcome their loved ones home this holiday, Air Canada is hosting a celebration at Terminal 1 of Toronto’s Pearson International Airport that aims to sprinkle a little extra magic into peoples’ festive reunions.

From now until Friday, December 15 Air Canada will have a pop-up boutique at the international arrival gates to help people welcome the people they love in true Canadian style.

Armed with teddy bears, flowers, and all the materials you need to make that all-important ‘Welcome Home’ sign; they’ll be on hand to help make travelers’ holiday homecomings even more memorable.

Lucky travelers may even be surprised with something extra special that will allow them to see their loved ones more often!

The airport pop-up is part of a larger holiday campaign from the airline, which included a social media contest where members of the community were asked to share a story of someone they want to bring home for the holidays. Eight lucky winners received a pair of roundtrip tickets to make their wish come true.

So if you’re heading to the airport this week to pick up someone you can’t wait to see again, make sure you swing by to check it out. And if you’re not, make sure you follow all the feels on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
