Three men are dead and two others are injured following a shooting inside a downtown condo building at CityPlace on Friday night.

According to Toronto Police, multiple shots were heard in the area of Queens Wharf Road and Fort York Blvd at 85 Queens Wharf, at a rented Airbnb.

Police say that the shooting was a “single occurrence,” with one of the injured victims suffering non-life threatening injuries, and the other suffering cuts, but was not shot.

Police are investigating, and Chief Mark Saunders is encouraging witnesses to come forward.

Toronto Mayor John Tory said the shooting is “completely unacceptable.”

“Our police service is working quickly to catch those responsible for these brazen murders,” said Tory. “I join Chief Saunders in encouraging anyone with information to help this case to contact police.”

Lindsey Scully, spokesperson for AirBnB, said the guest that booked the condo has been banned from the platform.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragedy that occurred in Toronto last night and our thoughts are with all who have been impacted — including the victims and their loved ones as well as the neighbouring residents,” she said in a statement.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call 416-808-7400, or email [email protected]. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
