Things are heating up in the city this August, making it the perfect time to hit the streets of Toronto and find a few celebrity faces to swoon over.
With plenty of movies and TV shows currently in production, you just never know when you might spot your favourite character off-set, roaming the streets of the 6ix.
Here are 18 celebrity faces to try and spot in Toronto this August.
Bill Skarsgård may be spotted in the city this July for his latest role in IT: Chapter Two in which he plays the lead role of Pennywise. Skarsgård is also known for starring in The Divergant Series: Allegiant, Atomic Blonde, and the Netflix original series Hemlock Grove.
Also joining Skarsgård on the set of IT: Chapter Two is Jessica Chastain. Chastain has made a name for herself playing strong female roles in movies like The Help, Interstellar, The Martian, and Molly’s Game among others.
Michael C. Hall
Be on the lookout for Michael C. Hall in Toronto. Hall will be in the city this August for his role in In the Shadow of the Moon. Hall is definitely best known for his creepy yet charismatic portrayal of Dexter Morgan in the hit Showtime series Dexter, along with his newest role in the Netflix series Safe.
Best known for his most recent role as DEA agent Steve Murphy in the Netflix series Narcos, Boyd Holbrook will join Hall in Toronto this August for In the Shadow of the Moon. Holbrook has also starred in movies like A Walk Among the Tombstones, and Gone Girl.
Zoey Deutch may be spotted in Toronto this August filming for the feature film Buffaloed in which she has the lead role. Deutch is known for her role as Rose in Vampire Academy, and starred alongside James Franco in Why Him?
Best known for his portrayal of Damon on The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder will be in Toronto this August for his role in Netflix’s V-Wars. Somerhalder has also starred in television shows like Lost and Smallville, and is married to actress Nikki Reed.
It is likely that Steve Carell may be in Toronto this August filming for The Dogs of Babel. Carell is best known for his quirky character Michael in The Office, and who could forget his hilarious roles in movies like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Evan Almighty, and Get Smart.
Best known for his portrayal of Nate Archibald on The CW’s Gossip Girl series, Chace Crawford may be spotted in Toronto for his latest role in the superhero drama series The Boys.
Also joining Crawford on the set of The Boys is New Zealand actor Karl Urban. You may remember him as Leonard McCoy in the Star Trek reboot film series, or as Éomer from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Sonequa Martin-Green will be in Toronto this August filming for the second season of Star Trek: Discovery. Martin-Green is best known for her portrayal of Sasha Williams on The Walking Dead, along with reoccurring roles in The Good Wife and Once Upon A Time.
Also joining Martin-Green on the set of Star Trek: Discovery is Doug Jones. Jones has starred in movies like Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth, and The Shape of Water.
Lauren Lee Smith
Canadian actress Lauren Lee Smith will be in Toronto filming for the second season of the Frankie Drake Mysteries in which she holds the lead role. Smith has starred in TV shows like CTV’s The Listener, and as Riley Adams in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Jason Priestley will be in Toronto this August for season three of the series Private Eyes. Priestley is best known for playing Brandon Walsh on the hit show Beverly Hills, 90210.
Sarah Rafferty will likely be in Toronto through to November for her role in the eighth season of Suits. Rafferty has made small appearances in shows like Law & Order, Bones, and Numb3rs before going on to star in Suits as Donna Roberta Paulsen.
Also joining Rafferty on the set of Suits is Gabriel Macht, who plays lead character Harvey Specter in the series.
Hannah John-Kamen will be in the city through to September for season four and five of Killjoys. John-Kamen is probably best known for her role of Ornela in the sixth season of Game of Thrones.
Actress and film critic Catherine Reitman will be in Toronto this August filming for season three of Workin’ Moms. Reitman has made appearances in comedies like Knocked Up, I Love You, Man and How I Met Your Mother.
Katherine McNamara may be spotted in Toronto this August shooting for the third season of Shadowhunters. McNamara is best known for her role on MTV’s Happyland, and most recently in Maze Runner: The Death Cure.
