The Woodland Park Zoo wants you to name their baby red pandas

Jul 21 2020, 8:57 pm

On May 25, the Woodland Park Zoo welcomed a pair of twin red pandas.

One has already been named Zan by Pamela Foster, who’d been visiting the Woodland Park Zoo for over 70 years. “I am dedicated to caring for the animals here at the zoo and their conservation in the wild,” she said in a press release.

Zoo staff are seeking help from the public to name the other adorable panda and have set up an online poll which is open until July 23. The poll includes three names to pick from: Tián, which means sweet, Ning, which means calm or peaceful, and An, which means tranquil.

Those interested in voting for their favorite name can do so until July 23 on the Woodland Park Zoo website.
