What to eat in and around Seattle today: Sticky Treats and Sweets

May 8 2020, 8:04 pm

With the weather making its way into the 80s this weekend, why not treat yourself to one of Seattle’s farmer’s market favorites: Sticky Sweets and Treats.

The classic market pick is a Thai sticky rice dessert with a western twist, that’s typically served with fresh fruits or ice cream.

Due to the pandemic, it is currently being made fresh and delivered frozen.

The market stall is currently offering up two flavors: traditional coconut and black sesame. They are both $7 each and come with a crunchy topping on the side.

When you’re ready to eat the treat, take it out of your freezer and leave it at room temperate for at least 30 minutes. Remove the metal lid and cover the top with a damp paper towel before microwaving it for 3.5 minutes at 50% power.
