Washington reports over 1,000 new cases of COVID-19

The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll sits at 4,942 after announcing 30 new deaths since Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health website, there were 1,088 new coronavirus cases reported from Wednesday, February 24, to Thursday, February 25.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 337,653 with 452 current hospitalizations, 62 of whom are intubated.

Negative test result data from November 21 to 30, 2020, are incomplete. Thus, negative test results and percent positivity for that period should be interpreted with caution.

The United States’ total death toll is 521,087.
