Washington confirms 686 more coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours

The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 1,495 after announcing 17 more deaths since Sunday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 686 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 53,321 with 386 current hospitalizations, 49 of which are intubated.

Currently, 879,983 tests (approximately 94% of all coronavirus tests in the state) have turned up negative.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 150,388.
