Washington confirms 716 more coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours

The Washington government revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 1,342, after announcing three more deaths since Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 716 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours — the highest single-day uptick in Washington State.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 34,151, with 4,442 hospitalizations, 62 of which are intubated.

Currently, 550,838 tests (approximately 94% of all coronavirus tests in the state) have turned up negative.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 2,833,057.
