Washington reports over 2,600 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours

The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll is 3,838 after announcing 49 new deaths since Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health website, there have been 2,658 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the past 24 hours.

Total case counts may include up to 520 duplicates, and negative test results data is incomplete from November 21 to 30, 2020, and December 29 through today.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 281,202 with 979 current hospitalizations, 93 of whom are intubated.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 393,585.
