Seattle restaurants offering Valentine's Day dinner to-go

We love eating, so why not celebrate love while eating? It just makes sense, especially on Valentine’s Day.

If you want to stick to sweatpants or you simply don’t feel like going all out at a restaurant, you can get some exceptional (and delicious) grub on February 14 that will leave you fully satisfied.

Enjoy sushi for two from Shiro’s made with top-grade ingredients from Japan, such as Kasugodai (young sea bream), Anago (sea eel), and Kuruma-Ebi (Japanese Tiger Prawn). Special Valentine’s Weekend menu items at Ba Bar include Ba Bar’s Bánh Tét (sweetened cake appetizer) for $7, featuring sticky rice rolled in banana leaf filled with mung bean and pork. The Tet and Valentine’s combination includes Wagyu phở (instead of the standard prime eye round) and a red bean mochi dessert for just $25 per person. Order online for takeaway or dine on the well-appointed heated patio.

Beginning Valentine’s Day, Monsoon will be offering a $60, fully prepared, ready-to-eat Seafood for Two meal kit for takeout only. The dinner for two includes Dungeness crab rolls with shrimp, glass noodle, and nước chấm, pickled mustard green fried rice, and fried oysters, as well as pan-seared diver scallops with turmeric and sweet ginger broth. Takeout pre-orders are available now, while dine-in reservations for Valentine’s will become available beginning on February 13.

Enjoy an all-vegan Valentine’s with Cafe Flora, which will be offering boxed dinners made for two to-go. Each vegan and gluten-free box contains taro chips served with butternut pate, beet pepper jam, and an avocado-pumpkin seed scallion pistou, a salad, an entree of artichoke croquettes with spiced lemongrass sauce, gingered kabocha smash, and grilled chayote squash with beluga lentils and maitake mushrooms, as well as a chocolate tower for dessert. Each food box for two costs $90, and an additional $45 for the addition of three beverages. Place your order online at cafeflora.com.

Elliott’s Oyster House is serving up two specials this Valentine’s Day: a filet mignon oscar, and Guinness chocolate cheesecake. The cocktail special of the day is a lovely chocolate martini with Godiva chocolate liqueur, dark crème de cacao, Kahlua, and cream. Meals can be ordered for takeout online or enjoyed in-house.
