Twitter has locked Donald Trump’s account for 12 hours for violating standards
Twitter has removed two of Donald Trump’s tweets and locked his account for 12 hours following his problematic statements as a violent mob stormed the US Capitol in Washington, DC, on Wednesday.
Twitter also threatened to permanently suspend Trump’s account if he further violates their standards, site administrators said in a Twitter thread Wednesday.
This means that the account of @realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets. If the Tweets are not removed, the account will remain locked.
