No, OrcaCon is not a convention for whales. It’s an annual inclusive, diversity-focused convention for tabletop gamers.
Lovers of all sorts of tabletop games can feel at home at this unique event while exploring a variety of new board games, card games, role-playing games, as well as miniature games. The convention creates a safe and welcoming space for promoting the tabletop games hobby while supporting diversity in tabletop games. This year’s focus is on LGBTQIA+ creators, artists, and designers.

At the convention, learn how games come to be, from writing to creation with a full schedule of panelists covering topics such as game design and publishing, event hosting, how to be a better game master, and other topics related to the genre.
Make new friends while playing your favorite games — most gaming ends at midnight, however, several 24-hour games will be offered from Friday to Sunday. Food trucks will be available from opening until 8 pm.
If you’re a serious Catan player, sign up for the Catan National Qualifier. If you win the qualifier tournament, you’ll win a seat at the National Championship in June. The full game schedule is available online.

Bring your creative ideas to one of the many workshops and pitch your idea to one of many game creators in the room. As well as hosting workshops, the writers, designers, artists, and experts will be joining you in playing games as well as selling their merchandise at the Merchant Hall.
You’ll be able to find all of your geeky wares at the Merchant Hall, which will be packed with all sorts of games, dice, t-shirts, costumes, toys and anything else your geeky heart could desire.
