Seattle's Indian street food restaurant is offering a $40 Holi meal this weekend
Celebrate India’s Festival of Colors a day early on Saturday, March 27, with a meal from Spice Waala.
The “unapologetically authentic” Indian street food restaurant is offering a four-course meal for pick up this Saturday at its Capitol Hill location.
The meal will include rose lassi, a stuffed fried bread known as kachoris, and daal (lentil stew), puri (thin fried bread), mutton curry (goat curry), pulao (spiced rice), as well as a traditional Holi dessert, gujiya, sweet stuffed fried dumplings.
The mutton curry entree is a family tradition inspired by Aakanksha’s dad’s recipe. When Spice Waala’s owners travel back to India, it’s typically the first meal they enjoy.
The meal is $40 per person and can be ordered by phone at 206-466-5195 or by email to [email protected].
