Expect a windy day today no matter what part of Washington you’re in, warns the National Weather Service of Seattle.
With a wind advisory in effect, the weather service is asking the public to be prepared for power outages, and remember to never drive or approach downed power lines.
The wind advisory is posted until November 17 at 5 pm, as rains continue and the city experiences a steady temperature around 53°F. Wind gusts in Seattle are expected to reach as high as 20 mph.

The weather station on Sandy Point Shores in Whatcom County is projecting winds of up to 59 mph, while the 520 bridge is recording winds of over 40 mph.
Passengers on the Washington State Ferries are noticing the gusting winds, and some have even taken to social media to share the stormy sights.
