You’ve had it before, a friend that’s playing bartender hands you hot chocolate spiked with vodka, claiming that their holiday drink concoction tastes great. Spoiler: It doesn’t.

Don’t get stuck with makeshift holiday drinks this season; instead, learn how to make true holiday cocktails and real treats at Rob Roy during their annual Holiday Drinks that Don’t Suck event.

For the past nine years, Rob Roy’s owner Anu Elford has collaborated with Imbibe magazine’s executive editor, Paul Clarke, to come up with imaginative holiday cocktails that not only look awesome but also taste great.

Some of their drinks include eggnog cocktails, hot rum cider, Christmas-y Clover Clubs, and even holiday punches.

More than just a day of drinking, listen to a wide-ranging talk that explores holiday traditions and the beverages that go along with them, and then learn to make your own holiday cocktails.

Elford and Clarke will be hosting a make-your-own cocktail class at the event, on top of the two cocktails that you receive with the purchase of a ticket.
