All Seattle Public Schools and school buildings will be closed on Wednesday due to snow and freezing temperatures, SPS announced Tuesday evening.
“The determination was made after evaluation many factors, including the potential affect of late start on Wednesday’s early release schedule, road conditions of side roads, and potential of hazardous driving conditions at the regular start of school times,” SPS posted on their website.
Athletics and all student activities are cancelled.
The District Central Office at John Stanford Center (JSCEE) will operate on normal hours.
“Safety is our top priority.”
