What to eat in and around Seattle today: Mee Sum Pastry

Mar 23 2021, 9:12 pm

We love us some pastry, especially those from Mee Sum Pastry.

What started as a small, locally owned bubble tea shop in 2007 has blossomed into a restaurant cafe with over 100 different meals and appetizers.

Not to be confused with their Pike Place Market location, we love the affordability of this University District cafe as well as the perfect portion size and tasty bubble teas.

If you’re popping by for a snack, try the crispy buns, deep-fried tofu, Hong Kong-style french toast, or curry fish balls.

If you’re sticking around for a full meal, go with an entree. If you’re feeling like beef, the beef with satay sauce is delicious. As is the chow fun with beef.

Their chicken dishes are all pretty classic dishes such as General Tso’s chicken, orange chicken, popcorn chicken and sweet and sour chicken.
