Capitol Hill's Full Tilt will be closing at the end of December

After two years of scoops and arcade games, Full Tilt Ice Cream in Capitol Hill is going out of service.

In a Facebook post shared earlier today, Full Tilt Ice Cream announced that they’ll be closing their Capitol Hill shop at the end of December, citing high rent prices and lack of traffic as the main reason for the closure.

The scoop shop, founded in 2008, is known for its creative ice cream and dessert, including many vegan options. It’s a shop where families can hang out, artists can display their art, and everyone can eat great ice cream.

All of the shop locations cart out a theme of a pinball parlor and focus on creating fun and all-natural ice creams and desserts.

The shop even runs its own merch line as well as a skateboard collection.

Rather than letting go of their staff, current employees at the Capitol Hill location will continue working for the company, moving to one of their other locations in Columbia City, U-District, and Ballard.

As of Tuesday, December 10, 2019, Full Tilt Ice Cream is still operating at the following Seattle locations:

  • 9629 16th Avenue Southwest
  • 5041 Rainier Avenue South
  • 4759 Brooklyn Avenue Northeast
  • 5453 Leary Avenue Northwest
