5 places to get a FREE community meal in Seattle

According to Northwest Harvest, one in 10 Washingtonians struggles with hunger. And although we rank as the second healthiest state in America, we’re 34th in food insecurity, with one-in-eight families relying on the SNAP food stamp program.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many restaurants have come together to create community kitchens: kitchens where those in need can go to receive a free meal.

It’s important to note where these local community kitchens are so that you can donate or receive healthy and free food.

Here are five places to receive a free meal if you’re in need:

Ba Bar

What: Free meals to restaurant workers and $5 meals for restaurant industry workers.
