Aug 20 2020, 8:49 pm

Seattle’s sunny streak will likely be interrupted by a splash of rain this week.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for a three-day period of rain before the skies clear on Monday.

Cloudy skies are expected to move across the region on Thursday, with rain coming down on Friday morning. Showers will continue overnight and into Saturday but will likely ease off towards Sunday night.

The incoming rain also brings a notable drop in temperature, offering Seattleites relief from the warm summer climate. Expect daytime highs of 73°F on Thursday and Friday.
