Go on a Lunar New Year food walk this weekend in Seattle

Feb 11 2021, 8:38 pm

This weekend, embark on a culinary journey through Asia at Seattle’s Chinatown-International District’s Lunar New Year Food Walk.

Commonly referred to as the Spring Festival, the day is set to celebrate both the dishes of Asia as well as the Lunar New Year. This year, the lunar calendar is represented by the Ox — a figure you’re most likely to see adorning the food walk.

The event will take place from 10 am to 4 pm and will include items from local businesses as well as a variety of family-friendly activities combined with small arts and crafts vendors.

In addition to the food walk, the Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area will be handing out lucky hong baos and hosting a photo booth from 10 to 4 pm at Hing Hay Park.

Visitors at the walk must wear face coverings at all times remain distanced from those not in their households.
