Let’s face it. Cuffing season is almost over, and you’ve yet to find your perfect mate. Don’t give up! Start swiping and take someone on a date at one of these nine Seattle spots — we’ve even come up with a perfect line for you at each.

We’re starting this list with a cliche study date. If you’re in university, we don’t want you to lose a study day, but we do want you to gain a study buddy. Bring them to the Suzallo Graduate Reading Room, a close replica to the Great Hall of Hogwarts. We suggest checking it out and then heading to the third floor octagon, a non-silent study space.

We’ll totally let you steal our line: “You really should be on the shelves…because you’re priceless.”

Sunset is the best time to take your date to Kerry Park. Enjoy the best view of Seattle on the south side of Queen Anne Hill. If you’re lucky, you may even be able to see Mount Rainier through the haze.

Impress them with this pick-up line: “Are you related to the sunset? You’re both stunning.”

The Center for Wooden Boats

We get it, this doesn’t strike you as a great date spot. Visit on a Sunday, however, and you’ll disagree. Every Sunday, volunteer skippers and crew take passengers out on Lake Union for a free sail in one of their spirit boats, steamboats, electric boats, schooners, ketches, yawls, and yachts.

Our semi-true pick-up line: “If this boat were to capsize, I’d save you first.”

Enjoy a peaceful afternoon in one of Seattle’s prettiest gardens: the Kubota Garden. This Japanese-American garden features streams, waterfalls, ponds, incredible Japanese trees, and flowers. Make a game out of who can spot the most wildlife.

Here’s our pick-up line: “If you were a flower in my garden, I’d pick you.”

Offer to buy your date a coffee, and surprise them with a visit to the Starbucks on the 40th floor of Columbia Center. You’ll get magnificent views of the city while skipping the hefty price of the observatory and Space Needle.

Our pick-up line: “I mean, Seattle is gorgeous, but you’re the real view.”

Pacific Science Center

Show your date your fun and youthful side by taking them to the Pacific Science Center. If things get awkward, whisk them into one of the many exhibits where you can impress them by reading facts and pretending that they’re your own. Take them on a mini-vacation in the Tropical Butterfly House, a heated world filled with tropical butterflies and flowers.

Here’s our Science Center pick-up line: “I’ve learned so many new things today, but my favorite part was learning about you.”

You won’t run out of things to do at Pier 57. Start the night at The Fisherman’s Restaurant and Bar, before winning them a stuffed animal at one of the many carnival games. If your date is up for it, hop on the Great Wheel or vintage carousel.

Try this easy pick-up line: “I dare you to go on the Great Wheel with me!”

It’s easy to get lost in one of the biggest bookstores in Seattle, so you’ll need to keep your date close. Spend an hour digging through the stacks of books and have a friendly competition of who can find the funniest titles. Perhaps even pick a book off the shelf and read together at the in-store cafe.

We suggest this cute pick-up line: “If you were a book, I’d stay up all night reading.”

Escape any bad weather and bring your date to this historic greenhouse on Capitol Hill. The lush paradise is filled with exotic plants and greenery and is free on the first Thursday and Saturday of each month. There are plenty of nooks to cozy up in and get that perfect first photo together.

Our pick-up line: “Dang, you’re really turning up the heat in here.” (Because greenhouses are hot!)
