What to eat in and around Seattle today: Raised Doughnuts

May 16 2020, 6:13 pm

Look no further than Raised Doughnuts for your fix of perfectly fried dough filled with puffed pockets of air.

The shop prides itself on raising the bar and offering one-of-a-kind, soft and chewy doughnuts which are all mixed, cut, and fried fresh each morning at 2 am, before being topped with house-made glazes using specialty ingredients.

Raised Doughnuts strives to avoid waste at all costs and makes one big batch a day which they sell until they’re all gone. They also use every last bit of dough, recycling the scraps into fritters and holes.

Raised Doughnuts rotates several of their nut-free flavors each month while offering $2 to $3 classics year-round.

Classic offerings include plain glazed, apple fritter, chocolate bar, maple bar, raspberry holes, and gluten-free mochi doughnuts made with rice flour.
