Try a bite of alligator at a Texan BBQ spot in Seattle next weekend

Beady eyes, sharp teeth, and Florida. Right now, these three words may be what comes to mind when you hear the word Alligator. After next weekend, you could be replacing all three words with just one: tasty.

To celebrate their first anniversary, Jack’s BBQ in South Lake Union will be taking on a swampy theme, complete with themed drinks and free samples of Alligator.

The central Texas-style restaurant is best known for its flavorful smoked meats and ribs but will be offering pieces of gator with your choice of dipping sauce on the special day.

You’ll also be able to enjoy beverages, both alcoholic and not, for half price all day. Their themed specials include two limited-edition cocktails: the Swamp Cooler with muddled cucumber, lemons, simple syrup, and gin, as well as the Bog Marsh with muddled cucumber, limes, simple syrup, and tequila.
