California Disneyland Parks and Hotels to officially reopen next month

After being closed for over a year, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are planning to reopen on April 30, 2021.

“The day all of us have long been waiting for is almost here,” said Ken Potrock, president of the Disneyland Resort, in an official reopening announcement.

The announcement revealed that all Hotels of the Disneyland Resort would be reopening in phases, beginning April 29, and more than 10,000 Cast Members will be returning to work. Parades and nighttime spectaculars, which draw large crowds, will return at a later date.

Because theme park capacity is being significantly limited in compliance with governmental requirements, Disneyland Resort will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system. To enter a park, guests must be sure to book both a park reservation and valid admission. Theme park reservations will be limited and subject to availability.

Current state guidelines mandate that only California residents may visit the parks, until further notice. All guests over the age of two will also be required to wear a face covering while in the park.
