Boeing to assist the government with coronavirus relief and aid

Just days after suspending production in their Puget Sound area facilities, Boeing announced on Friday that it will support communities and healthcare professionals by taking additional steps to support COVID-19 recovery and relief efforts.

In addition to previously donating tens of thousands of supplies to hospitals in need, Boeing will begin 3D printing face shields for healthcare workers on the front lines of the pandemic.

The Washington company will be working with the US government, offering the officials the use of its Dreamliner aircraft, one of the largest cargo carriers in the world.

The plane will be used to help transport critical and urgently needed supplies to healthcare professionals.

While their Puget Sound facilities remain suspended until further notice, Boeing will continue manufacturing processes in Missouri, California, Arizona, Alabama, Philadelphia, and Pennsylvania.
