This tasty food festival is returning to Seattle Center next summer

It’s undeniable that a food festival in the sunshine is one of the greatest things to look forward to in the summer. We’ve got good news those who agree, as the Albert Lee Appliance Bite of Seattle is returning next summer, July 17 to 19, at the Seattle Center.

The annual food and beverage showcase features over 200 food and specialty vendors, craft beer and cider tasting, over 70 live bands, a bbq competition, and more, all for free.

There are two spots for the best food in the festival: Down The Alley, on Fisher Rooftop near The Bite Cooks, and at Munchies @ The Mural. Both spots feature select local food vendors that offer up unique and tasty treats, such as Show Me Your Cones, hand-fried chicken in hand made waffle cones, and Din Tai Fung, Seattle’s beloved dumpling spot.

Next up, is the drinks. Once your belly is full from goodies of over 200 food vendors, wash it all down at the beer gardens, or at the craft beer and cider tasting tent in The Fisher Pavillion.

If you’re not yet 21, there’s still plenty of other attractions to check out. Watch seasoned barbeque master chefs from all over the United States and Canada compete in a three-day, back-to-back Gladiator of the Grill BBQ competion, a qualifier for a Golden Ticket to the 2019 World Steak Championships in Fort Worth Texas — you could say that the steaks are rather high.

Kids can enjoy face-painting, bubble wands, and fun food in the Family FunZone, and wrap up the night with a Free Bite movie. Last year’s pick was Wayne’s World at The Mural Lawn Stage.

The International Fountain will also remain open at the heart of the Bite of Seattle, a perfect place to people watch as well as play in the fountain bowl.

The Mural Lawn Stage, Fountain Lawn Stage, and Fisher Green Stage host over 70 acts throughout the three-day festival, and crosses all genres. Applications for performers will open in January 2020.
