For the first time in 38 years, the Albert Lee Appliance Bite of Seattle has been canceled.

The annual food and beverage showcase was set to run at the Seattle Center from July 17 to 19, featuring over 200 food and specialty vendors, craft beer and cider tasting, over 70 live bands, a BBQ competition, and more, all for free.

“We, like you, were looking forward to this iconic family-friendly festival of food and fun, this summer at Seattle Center, however, our first priority remains the health and safety of our guests, vendors, employees and all who help to make the Albert Lee Appliance Bite of Seattle the food festival of the summer,” organizers said in a news release.

Organizers are hopeful that the event will return next summer, but will do so only “when we can host and celebrate festivals again.”
