This winter, Oregon Zoo will have its annual holiday event run from November 29 to January 5 — except on December 25. Aptly named, this dazzling event is a magical display of more than 1.5 million lights.
Regular attractions at the zoo will still be available to attendees, and you can still visit the elephants, mountain goats, and other wildlife. Families will especially enjoy the lighted train and carousel, as well as the delicious food and holiday themed beverages that will be available from local food carts on sit.

Make sure you try the zoo’s signature treat from the food carts, elephant ears. There will also be other delicious treats like hot chocolate, popcorn and other heartier fare available at various food stalls.
The beautiful showcase of lights starts at 4 pm, and become fully lit by 5 pm. Attendees who want to avoid crowds are recommended to visit after 7 pm or 7:30 pm, instead of 5 to 7 pm, which is when ZooLights is most busiest.
