What to eat in Portland today: Jurassic

Apr 28 2020, 11:24 pm

Not located in a park, and with minimal risk of dinosaur attacks, Jurassic is one of Portland’s favorite off-beat chicken joints.

The true-to-flavor approach with their slow-roasted fowl makes Jurassic one of the most unique eats in the city. What started as a little food cart over six years ago has blossomed into a small brick-and-mortar shop that sparks joy for tons of Portlandians.

Jurassic was born on the foundation that culinary eats can be inclusive to everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions.

Now, after a brief pickup-only stint followed by a closure, the shop is now accepting pre-orders for specific dates.

What to order

The Jurassic team is taking pre-orders for some house-made pantry goodies as well as their divine Turmeric Pepper Chicken.

A must-order, especially considering that we have minimal chances to obtain some Jurassic food, is the full Meal Kit.

This kit includes 1.5 lbs of Turmeric Pepper Chicken, Roasted Cauliflower, and Sweet Potato, with a quart of Tahini Broccoli Salad. Everything comes with an oven-safe tray for easy re-heating.

Due to general closure, Jurassic is taking orders until 11:59 pm pacific time Tuesday and will have orders ready for curbside pick-up, or porch delivery, on May 2.
