Throwback Thursday: Portland Skyline ft. Mount Hood

Feb 14 2020, 3:58 am

There aren’t many cities in the United States with a brighter future than Portland, Oregon. The history of this city is an extensive and colorful one.

We recently came across this photograph from 1935 of the Portland, Oregon, skyline featuring a rather snowy Mount Hood in the background.

The looming white-capped protector of our fair river town has and will continue to be a gorgeous sight in our landscape.

Whether you climb up to Pittock Mansion, or Washington Park, the classic Portland a la Mt. Hood could forever be the hallmark of a local or visiting photographer.

Now, let’s take a look at what a very similar angle, from almost the same lookout, features these days!
